3D Dice Roller

This 3D dice roller throws real-looking dice into a tray with physics. Pick any mix of d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and d100, add a modifier, roll with advantage, disadvantage or drop lowest, and keep a log of your last 50 rolls. Each result is chosen by a cryptographic random number generator first.

How the 3D dice roller works

Build your roll: Click a die to add it to the pool (click again for more), choose a mode and modifier, then press Roll or the space bar. You can also type any roll in dice notation, such as 4d6dl1 or 2d20kh1+5; see the dice notation guide.

Fair by design: The result for every die is picked by your browser's cryptographic random number generator before the dice are thrown. The physics engine then animates the dice so they land on those faces, so the 3D throw never decides the number. We tested the generator with a million rolls per die.

What you see: d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and percentile dice (a tens die plus a d10) tumble in the tray. The four-sided d4 isn't animated yet, but its result is rolled the same fair way and appears in the total and the log. For a lighter roller without 3D, use the main dice roller.

    3D Dice Roller FAQ

Is the 3D dice roller random?

Yes. Every die's result is chosen by the browser's cryptographically secure random number generator with rejection sampling, so each face is exactly equally likely. The 3D physics only animates that result.

How do I roll with advantage in 3D?

Add a d20, set Mode to Advantage and press Roll. Two d20s are thrown and the higher one counts; the lower one is shown crossed out in the result.

Does the 3D dice roller work on phones?

Yes. It runs in any modern mobile browser with WebGL. If your device asks for reduced motion or can't show 3D, the roller still works and shows results instantly.

    Are my rolls saved?

Your last 50 rolls are saved in this browser so they survive a refresh. Nothing is sent to our server, and you can clear the log at any time.

    About this roller

DnD Dice Roller (dnddiceroller.org) rolls every die with your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator, crypto.getRandomValues, and uses rejection sampling so every face is exactly equally likely. The 3D dice only animate a result that has already been decided this way; the physics never picks the number. Rolls happen on your device and are never sent to our server.
