Board games that use 2 dice
Monopoly: You move by the total of two dice, and rolling doubles lets you take another turn. Roll doubles three times in a row and you go straight to jail. The chance of doubles on any roll is 1 in 6 (16.67%), so three in a row happens only 0.46% of the time (1 in 216).
Backgammon: Each die is a separate move rather than a total, so a 5 and a 2 lets you move one checker 5 points and another 2 (or one checker both). Doubles are special: you play the number four times, so double 6s means four moves of 6. That is why doubles swing so many games.
Craps and quick games: In craps, a 7 or 11 on the come-out roll wins for the pass line, which happens 22.22% of the time. Two dice also work for any homemade game, a quick random number from 2 to 12, or settling who goes first. Playing D&D instead? The 2d6 roller covers the same roll in D&D notation with greatsword and Scorching Ray damage.

About this roller
DnD Dice Roller (dnddiceroller.org) rolls every die with your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator, crypto.getRandomValues, and uses rejection sampling so every face is exactly equally likely. The 3D dice only animate a result that has already been decided this way; the physics never picks the number. Rolls happen on your device and are never sent to our server.
