Games that use 4 dice
Can't Stop: In this push-your-luck board game you roll four dice and split them into two pairs, moving up the columns that match each pair's total. Because you choose the pairing, common totals are easy to make: with four dice there is a 64.35% chance that some two of them add up to 7. Keep rolling and you risk losing the turn's progress.
Math and number games: Four dice are a classic classroom tool. Roll them and try to reach a target number using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, or read the dice in order as a four-digit number for place-value practice. All four dice are different 27.78% of the time, which matters for games that need distinct digits.
Four players, one roll: Give each player one die and roll all four together to decide turn order or who goes first, rerolling any ties. For D&D ability scores, use the 4d6 roller, which also shows 4d6 drop lowest, or the stat roller.

About this roller
DnD Dice Roller (dnddiceroller.org) rolls every die with your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator, crypto.getRandomValues, and uses rejection sampling so every face is exactly equally likely. The 3D dice only animate a result that has already been decided this way; the physics never picks the number. Rolls happen on your device and are never sent to our server.
