Games that use 6 dice
Farkle: You roll six dice and set aside scoring dice, then choose whether to bank your points or reroll the rest. In common rules, each 1 is worth 100, each 5 is worth 50, and three of a kind and straights score more. If a roll scores nothing, you "farkle" and lose the points from that turn. Scoring tables differ a lot between rule sets, so agree on one before you start.
Big combinations: With six dice, matching is almost guaranteed: at least two dice share a number 98.46% of the time. The rare rolls are the ones worth chasing. A full 1-6 straight is 1.54% (720 of 46,656 outcomes), and six of a kind is about 0.01%.
The "need a 6" myth: Rolling six dice is a good way to see why six tries do not guarantee a 6. The chance that at least one of six dice shows a 6 is 66.51%, not 100%. The same math applies to games where you must roll a 6 to start, one die per turn. For other counts, try roll 5 dice or roll 10 dice.

About this roller
DnD Dice Roller (dnddiceroller.org) rolls every die with your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator, crypto.getRandomValues, and uses rejection sampling so every face is exactly equally likely. The 3D dice only animate a result that has already been decided this way; the physics never picks the number. Rolls happen on your device and are never sent to our server.
